OPERATION UPLINK / M.O.T.S. | Sponsors | Saturday's Events | Race Rules and Class Information | Lodging | Directions

General Overview:

This year, after time trials and amidst a Quick 8 competiton, elimination rounds will be run in an index-style drag racing format. Here are some details:

- All races will be on a .500 Pro (Sportsman) tree.
- This will be an ALL RUN qualifying format.
- Vehicles are required to be stock appearing and stock bodied.
- All vehicles are subject to applicable BMP and NHRA safety tech inspection rules for both ET and speed, as enforced by the BMP staff.
- A Sportsman ladder will determine running order based off of time trial/qualifying rounds, closest to index without exceeding.
- Vehicles must be driven to the staging lanes.
- Delay boxes, cross-over boxes, or any "reaction-time related" electronic bracket racing aids are prohibited, as are throttle stops and all related throttle-stop type accessories.
- Trans brakes are permitted.

Index:

Following time trials and before elimination rounds begin, each driver will be required to select an Index and officially submit it to selected and identified Event Staff or Track Staff members. There will be a single qualifier round which will establish the qualifying order. Track Safety Rules:

The Event Committee and Bradenton Motorsports Park are committed to providing every Track Day racer and spectator with a full day of fun and competitive racing in a safe environment. Part of BMP's commitment to safety is found in the concrete barriers between the track and the grandstands which have taken the place of the old aluminum guardrails. Also, EMT vehicles are now stationed where they have immediate access to the track without having to go through the staging lane areas, aiding staff to more quickly respond in the event a racer finds themselves in difficulties during a run.

For every racer's reference, the following hyperlink takes you to the Track's Basic Safety Rules:

* All racers should wear long pants (no shorts).
* Bring a helmet. Those who have an extra helmet, please bring it along so someone who does not own one can use it.
* Racers who do borrower a helmet, please return it to the owner promptly.

While BMP has historically demonstrated a reasonable amount of flexibility during prior All-GTO Track Days, all drivers should assume that the Track Staff will enforce these rules. Ultimately, it is their discretion that will be employed and the Event Committee will support their decisions in the best interest of safety for all.
